Management Accountant

Summary

Wycombe Abbey seeks a detail‑oriented and commercially aware Management Accountant to support the financial management of the School and its subsidiary companies.

Detail

This pivotal role focuses on the preparation of management accounts, forecasts and budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting effective decision‑making. Working closely with the Director of Finance and wider Finance team, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of robust financial processes and controls.

Reports to: Director of Finance.

Contract: This is a part‑time, permanent contract. The first three months will be a probationary period.

Hours of Work: 27.5 hours per week, with flexibility over working pattern.

Holiday: 30 days per annum, plus bank holidays (pro rata).

As Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the School. Responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts, termly forecasts and annual budgets, producing variance analysis, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and supporting VAT returns and statutory reporting for subsidiary companies. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
