The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London. The School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and appropriately experienced Registrar to join the School as soon as possible.

This is a full-time post, reporting to the Head, and the postholder will have wide-ranging responsibilities relating to the admission of pupils to the School.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of schools, particularly in the independent sector, and relevant experience in a school environment is essential. The successful candidate will be a very capable administrator with excellent communication and ICT skills. High emotional intelligence will be essential, together with discretion and sound judgement.

The postholder will oversee and manage the admissions process for 11+ and 16+ entry and for occasional vacancies and will deliver admissions and induction events. Liaison with a range of staff from different departments will be key to success as will sustaining a strong working relationship with the Assistant Registrar.

This is an office-based role. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm during term-time and 8.00am to 4.30pm during school holidays. The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience. The post offers 28 days’ annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and two weeks at Christmas when the School is closed.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have some contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity. In this role you are unlikely to be working with children directly but will regularly interact with pupils who may seek your assistance or otherwise interact with you when moving around the school.

The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are ‘spent’ unless they are ‘protected’ under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
