We currently seek to appoint a Premises Assistant to work on a permanent and full-time basis, on an alternating shift pattern with regular overtime and as part of a rota for emergency call-outs.
Godolphin and Latymer is a very busy school, both during the day and after-school, throughout the year. A wide variety of events take place outside of normal school hours, primarily during evenings and weekends and the occasional bank holiday, all of which require overtime to be worked and shared equally amongst the team.
We require a motivated, enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join our Premises team, to lock and unlock the school, assist with set-ups for activities and events, repairs, decoration, security and maintenance of the school’s buildings and furniture, and to retain the high standards and safe environment that the pupils, staff and visitors expect at all times.
Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary, however, applicants will need the basic relevant skills and the ability to fulfil the needs of the role. Full training will be provided to the appointed post-holder. Please refer to the recruitment information booklet for the job description for the role which includes the core working hours.
The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience. The role is full time and attracts 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and two weeks at Christmas when the School is closed.
The start date will be as soon as possible on the completion of all required pre-employment checks.
For further information about our school and this role, please visit www.godolphinandlatymer.com. Fully completed application forms must be returned to recruitment@godolphinandlatymer.com as soon as possible. Please note that applications must be made on the school’s application form. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children."
