An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly professional Personal Assistant to support both the Senior Deputy Head (Academic) and Deputy Head (Pastoral and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead).
This is a permanent position and the start date will be confirmed on the completion of all required pre-employment checks.
The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multi-task whilst concurrently supporting busy appointments in the school. They must be personable, approachable, responsive and accommodating and should be able to work in a busy environment. The post-holder will need to work well as part of a team and must also be able to work autonomously. They will need to be able to think on their feet, whilst following strict procedures and tight timescales. Attention to detail, organisation and calendar management are vital in this highly varied role.
This is a full time all-year-round position and the core hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm during term time and 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday during school holidays. A degree of flexibility is required to suit the needs of the role. The leave entitlement is 28 days annually, to be taken during school holidays, in addition to Bank Holidays and two weeks over the Christmas period when the School is closed.
The salary will be commensurate with the post and will be dependent on the qualifications and experience of the appointed candidate.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have some contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity. In this role you are unlikely to be working with children directly but will regularly interact with pupils who may seek your assistance or otherwise interact with you when moving around the school.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are ‘spent’ unless they are ‘protected’ under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
