(40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus 4 weeks)

The Attendance Officer/School Office Administrator plays a vital role in supporting student attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing, whilst contributing to the smooth and effective running of the School Office. Working closely with pastoral, safeguarding and administrative colleagues, the postholder will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and monitoring of attendance records, ensuring accurate reporting and timely follow-up of absences. They will also provide administrative support across the School Office.
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information. Applicants should be confident using Microsoft Office applications and database systems. Previous experience of working within a school, attendance, pastoral or administrative environment would be advantageous.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
