Summary

Based at our Senior School, we are seeking to appoint a HLTA Classroom Support and ELSA (ELSA trained or training can be provided), to join our thriving school community.

The Queen’s School is one of Cheshire’s leading independent schools and is proud of its excellent academic results, pastoral care and holistic approach.

The HLTA and ELSA will provide essential support to pupils who need additional help accessing learning, additional academic intervention as well as social and emotional support. Working closely with the SENCO, teaching staff and parents, the successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, deliver targeted interventions, facilitate ELSA sessions, and help ensure that every pupil is able to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive and flexible approach, and a passion for supporting pupils to succeed. Contributing to the development of individual support plans, delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions, administering SEND screening tools, and playing a key role in promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Hours

35 hours per week, term time only including 5 INSET days. Part time hours may be considered, please outline any specific requests in your covering letter.

Salary

The FTE salary is £25,617 per annum, therefore actual salary for 35 hours per week, term time only is £19,403 per annum.
