THE ROLE:

An excellent opportunity for someone with experience in digital marketing who is eager to expand their skills within the education sector. As part of a small dynamic team, you will contribute to events, marketing efforts, and social media. The candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated marketing assistant with a strong background in social media management.

SALARY RANGE:

  • Competitive Salary (Dependent on experience)
  • Part Time (2 days per week, hours to be agreed at interview)
  • Term Time plus 4 weeks.

Social Media Management:

  • Create visually appealing video and graphics using tools like Canva.
  • Craft engaging captions and storytelling to accompany posts.
  • Schedule and publish posts across various social media platforms.
  • Monitor and respond to online comments.
  • Collaborate with other teams to align social media content with broader school goals.
  • Stay current with social media trends and best practices.
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance our social media presence.

Event Support:

  • Assist with campaigns for admissions, school events, social events, and alumnae relations.
  • Liaise with parents, alumnae, and supporters at events.
  • Maintain and update the potentiality database.
  • Organise and manage event-related information on the school website.

Marketing:

  • Follow the school calendar and liaise with colleagues to draft news stories for the school website.
  • Prepare academic, co-curricular and development marketing literature.
  • Establish and maintain media contacts to pitch stories related to Queen Mary’s.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage general marketing email inbox and telephone communications.
  • Write letters and emails to respond to parent queries.
  • Proofread promotional materials for accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as requested.

The Part Time Marketing Assistant is appointed by the Head, subject to enhanced DBS clearance and receipt of two satisfactory references. The successful candidate will be required to complete a confidential pre-employment health questionnaire.

  • This is a part time (term time only + 4 weeks) role plus 5 In-service Training Days. Sports Day and Speech Day held on a Saturday are mandatory as whole school events.
  • A competitive salary will be paid for this role depending on experience and qualifications. Paid in monthly instalments in arrears from the agreed date of the appointment and inclusive of holiday pay.
  • The appointment is subject to a 3-month probationary period which may be extended following a performance review.
  • The appointee will be expected to participate in an annual appraisal process.
  • Additional benefits will include a significant fee discount for children to be educated at Queen Mary’s School (subject to places being available and all relevant admissions criteria being met)
  • Meals will be provided free of charge during term time.
  • The School operates an employer stakeholder contributory pension scheme.
  • The appointee is required to give the School one term’s notice of their intention to leave this post.
  • Must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
