We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Hockey Coach to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating young athletes in the fundamentals of hockey. This role involves not only teaching skills and strategies but also fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.

Duties

Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the skill levels of players.

Conduct regular practice sessions focusing on technique, tactics, and physical conditioning.

Educate players on the rules of hockey and promote understanding of game strategies.

Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages player development and teamwork.

Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.

Collaborate with other PE staff to ensure a cohesive approach to player development.

Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and games.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in hockey.

Strong knowledge of hockey rules, techniques, and strategies.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate players effectively.

Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to achieve their best.

First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory.

A genuine passion for hockey and commitment to fostering a positive sporting environment.

This role is 8 hours per week, Term Time Only.

The timetable for the role is as follows:

Part Time

Wed – 14:00 – 18:00

Thurs – 16:00 – 18:00

Fri - 14:00 – 18:00

As this is an educational role, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a full application form ahead of an interview.
