Summary

Edgbaston High School is seeking an outstanding and talented Textiles Teacher for our Senior School to join our popular and well-resourced Design and Technology department from January 2025.

Detail

The successful candidate is likely to be a graduate in Fashion or Textiles, and have experience of teaching Textiles from key stage 3 up to and including A Level, to academically able young people. They must have a thorough understanding of Textiles both in and beyond the classroom.

The successful candidate must exhibit proficient practical skills, the ability to effectively manage practical lessons, inspire students, and uphold high standards. Experience of working with a range of materials as well as subject specific ICT programs and technology is essential.

Textiles is a very popular subject within the school and is well resourced. All staff are fully supported in their professional development and applications are encouraged from either experienced teachers or ECTs.

Successful candidates will be invited to a formal interview and will be asked to teach a prepared lesson. There will also be an opportunity to tour the School on the day.
