Exam Invigilators
Bank/ flexible hours positions available. Required for the exam periods mainly in January, May and June each year.
Hourly Rates: Exam Invigilation £12.00, Access Arrangements £14.00
Downe House is a leading independent boarding school for girls aged 11-18 near Thatcham, Berkshire. Our aim is to provide pupils with a wealth of academic, pastoral and co-curricular opportunities to allow them to grow into confident young women prepared to take on the world.
We are currently recruiting for Exam Invigilators to support us during our examination periods. We will be happy to accept applications from both experienced and first-time Invigilators, as full training will be provided for the position.
Invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity of the external examination/ assessment process, working within the prescribed rules and regulations. This will include assisting with setting up the exam room, distributing exam papers and materials, recording attendance, supervising candidates during exams, and collecting papers.
As per individual access arrangements, some students may require one to one support, such as scribes or readers. If you wish to be considered for this role it can be discussed at interview.
You will need to have effective communication skills, be organised, and have a confident and reassuring manner. Ideally you will have previous experience in education or an interest in working with young people.
