Channing Junior School is seeking to appoint an inspiring and committed EYFS/KS1/KS2 Form Teacher to join our welcoming and academically vibrant Junior School from September 2026. This opportunity includes both a full-time permanent role and a part-time (4 days per week) maternity cover position, offering the opportunity to teach across the primary age range within a supportive and collaborative learning community.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the educational and pastoral development of the pupils in their form, delivering a rich, stimulating and appropriately challenging curriculum while fostering independence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Working closely with year group colleagues, subject specialists and teaching assistants, the Form Teacher will play a central role in ensuring a cohesive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.

We are looking for a highly motivated and reflective teacher with excellent classroom practice, strong organisational skills and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and achievement of every pupil. The successful candidate will demonstrate a secure understanding of effective and inclusive teaching, with the ability to support and challenge learners of all abilities. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities, trips and potential subject leadership is essential.
